(a) when establishing a site, facility, or service, to set a security benchmark or support the design
of security arrangements;
(b) when an individual, organisation, or sub-team leader is newly allocated responsibility for
protecting the people, property, or information concerned;
(c) when an existing site, facility, or service undergoes a significant reconfiguration, change of use,
or change of Senior Risk Owner;
(d) when the adversarial risk score changes substantially on receipt of new information, or when
management otherwise deems it necessary; and
(e) as part of the periodic revalidation of previous SMRs, at a frequency determined by the
criticality rating of the site, property, or asset concerned.

(a) Updated executive endorsement.
(b) Updated SMR documents.
(c) An annual SMR Review Register.
(d) Increased certainty of business success.
