Detection techniques to reduce Rural Crime and Construction Site Theft
Police to Police training and briefing on detection techniques to assist forces based around the South East England area (Surrey, Met, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Essex). It is a FREE to attend event for Police officers, PCSO’s and Police staff only.
The event, held at Leica Geosystems Hexagon, 78 Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 1HY, will be hosted by the National Construction and Agricultural Theft Team (NCATT) and supported by industry.
Attendees will be given presentations by NCATT and include briefings by DS Chris Piggott, UK’s international police liaison officer, CESAR’s Police liaison team and will include expert advice on detecting criminal networks operating within your area.
There will also be a presentations from:

- Closing remarks: Deputy Chief Constable Mark McEwan, Surrey Police
The training day will also include the opportunity to examine machines demonstrating CESAR, OEM markings and the new RAPID Online App (Registered Assets Police Information Database), which will allow officers to learn of high-risk items which are susceptible to theft and moreover give officers the confidence to identify stolen property easily.
