Detection techniques to reduce Rural Crime and Construction Site theft

Police to Police training and briefing on detection techniques to assist Scottish Police and North England Police forces. It is a FREE to attend event for Police officers, PCSO’s and Police staff only.
The event, held at Lawrie and Symington Auction House in Lanark, will be hosted by the National Construction and Agricultural Theft Team (NCATT) and supported by industry.
Attendees will be given presentations by NCATT and include briefings by DC Chris Piggott (UK’s international police liaison officer), CESAR’s police liaison team to include expert advice on detecting criminal networks operating within your area. There will also be presentations from Iain Anderson (Joint Managing Director, GAP Group/SPOA/CPA), John Hamilton (Asset & Security Advisor, GAP Group and ex Police Scotland), Seumas Ascott (Group Head of Security, J. Murphy & Sons) and Kirsty Hyslop of NFU Mutual.
The training day will also include the opportunity to examine machines demonstrating CESAR, Micro-CESAR, and OEM markings, which will allow officers to learn of high-risk items which are susceptible to theft and moreover give officers the confidence to identify stolen property easily.

The 2023 Conference will focus on COMBATING TOOL THEFT with an array of guest speakers including the Police minister.
Big announcements will be made to combat tool theft. CITS has been actively engaging the Government on this issue. Further information and agenda on the Conference to follow shortly.
