Security Managers Forum

CITS is a not for profit organisation whose members include the Home Office, the Police, the insurance industry, the Plant hire industry, the manufacturers associations, the finance industry and the major utility and construction companies. The primary purpose of CITS is to create partnerships with our respective members in an attempt to reduce crime from our sectors.

The security managers forum is a niche group which includes members such as UKPN, National Highways, Thames Water, Southern Water, main contractors such as, Balfour Beatty, Murphy’s, Clancy, FM Conway, Taylor Woodrow ETC.

The group meets quarterly both physically and virtually to discuss the latest threats and scams that have been affecting their businesses, whether this be external thefts, internal frauds or cybercrime and current scams. The group have direct contact with the Police leads on metal theft and plant and machinery theft. The aim of the meetings is to help all members to gather data and knowledge for strategic risk assessments with ongoing projects and future workstreams.
