CITS POLICE TEAM NAVCIS CONTINUE THEIR ONGOING FIGHT AGAINST CRIME!
CITS partners Navcis have been working harder than ever recently, training officers and assisting in the prevention of crime.
Over the past two weeks they have helped with the training of over 80 police officers from Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Cheshire and the BTP. They all attended bespoke training sessions to enhance their knowledge of machinery identification.
An integral part of their training was to gain further information about the world leading CEA's official CESAR scheme.
CESAR, which incorporates cutting edge technology from Datatag, assists both the police in the recovery of items that have been stolen but more importantly deters criminals from stealing agricultural and construction equipment in the first place.
The police officers were also trained in the identification of stolen caravans.
All of the sessions were carried out, in accordance with current government guidelines regarding Covid-19, over a 4-day period and considered a tremendous success by the participants.
In addition to training, Navcis have assisted West Yorkshire Police Crime Prevention Academy with their own vehicle security and they continue to be involved in police operations within Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northumbria.
A number of vehicle checkpoints were set up and plant machinery was checked over to determine ownership. During those checks police continued to give advice to the operators of the current increased theft risks.
