CITS POLICE PARTNER, NAVCIS, HAS BEEN ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN IDENTIFYING AND RECOVERING NUMEROUS STOLEN ITEMS THIS WEEK.
DC Chris Piggott of NaVCIS in conjunction with Polish authorities intercepted a lorry at the Polish border, which was carrying the following stolen items: three Hamm Twin Drum Road Rollers, one JCB Excavator, one Doosan Compressor and one Whacker Plate. These had all been stolen the previous week from Humberside and South Yorkshire. The lorry driver has been arrested and is being dealt with by the Polish authorities. The estimated recovery value is £150,000.
NaVCIS liaised with the Environmental Agency, in presenting a warrant in Shropshire, which resulted in the seizure of: a stolen Deutz Fahr Tractor, a ‘custom-made’ plant trailer, and a HGV Grain trailer. The approximate value of these items is £50,000.
Essex Police were helped by NaVCIS in identifying the stolen 2018 Hitachi excavator below. Police enquiries are still on-going.
Another CITS partner, NFU Mutual, provided intelligence to both NaVCIS and Dyfed Powys Police regarding a stolen Horsebox, which was being offered for sale. The police identified where the horsebox was located and recovered it. It was valued at £10,000.
CITS representative Chris Piggott, also assisted Dorset Police in identifying a stolen camper van from Sussex, two arrests have been made. that was seized, enquiries are on-going.
