NCATT ASSISTS IN RECOVERING OVERSEAS STOLEN PLANT
New police unit NCATT - National Construction and Agri Theft Team (NCATT) - received information that a suspected stolen excavator was on board a ferry travelling to the Hook of Holland, and immediately contacted Dutch police colleagues.
A Polish lorry was stopped and found to have four 4 excavators and a Stock trailer in the rear. The lorry has now been returned to the UK, and all the machines were stolen from locations in Surrey, Gloucestershire and Devon.
All five items were valued in excess of £60,000 and taken from different victims.
