CITS POLICE TRAINING - A PROVEN SUCCESS
An officer who attended last week’s CITS police training event in Lanark, Scotland was instrumental in recovering two All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) stolen from North Berwick.
The ATVs were traced to County Durham using live tracking technology, but the local Scottish force were unable to allocate any resources at the time to assist the officer. As a direct result of the officer attending the CITS Lanark training event, the officer contacted the National Construction Agricultural Theft Team (NCATT) for support, who were able to deploy an officer within an hour, and then provided further support with local officers. Both ATVs were found hidden in separate woods, along with a suspected stolen transit van.
Investigations are on-going.
