NCATT’S OPERATIONAL SUCCESSES – MAY/JUNE 2024
Throughout the months of May and June, NCATT – the National Construction and Agricultural Theft Team – have been instrumental in assisting, identifying or recovering agricultural or construction plant and equipment, as well as disrupting Organised Criminal Groups (OCGs).
These successes have been in conjunction with various police forces, and their specialist units including: Cheshire Rural Crime Team, Essex Rural Engagement Team, North and South Yorkshire Police, as well as West Mercia Police. In addition to those operations, NCATT also recovered construction plant in Gloucestershire and Gwent, whilst helping to identify stolen plant found in London.
Their successes for this two-month window are listed below:
09 May 2024
On the 09/05/2024 NCATT assisted Essex Rural Engagement Team with the recovery of a stolen dust suppression system, power washer, heavy bucket and heavy breaker.
13 May 2024
On the 13/05/2024 NCATT assisted South Yorkshire Police teams day of action recovering a stolen JCB roller in the back of a stolen Mercedes Sprinter along with a stolen Ifor Williams plant and flatbed trailer, cable drum trailer and Water bowser.
22 May 2024
On the 22/05/2024 NCATT assisted Cheshire Rural Crime Team with the recovery of a stolen Timberwolf chipper from an address in Manchester.
29 May 2024
On the 29/05/2024 NCATT assisted South Yorkshire Police with day of action recovering a Indeco Hydraulic breaker and a stolen Ford Transit linked to being used to steal plant and agriculture machinery.
14 June 2024
On the 14/06/2024 NCATT assisted North Yorkshire Police with the recovery of a stolen Kubota U17 Excavator with a stolen trailer.
24 June 2024
On the 24/06/2024 NCATT recovered a stolen Takeuchi and Kubota excavator from Gloucestershire.
27 June 2024
On the 27/06/2024 NCATT assisted West Mercia Police with the recovery of two stolen Ifor Williams Trailers.
