NEW CITS ASSOCIATE MEMBER - NASVE

Iain McKinlay, Chair of the National Association of Stolen Vehicle Examiners (NASVE), has joined the CITS theft prevention partnership as Associate members.

NASVE is the UK’s only professional body dedicated to supporting Qualified Stolen Vehicle Examiners (QSVE)  involved in the Examination and identification of stolen vehicles. With over 3 decades of extensive experience in vehicle crime investigation and training, Iain works across law enforcement, insurance, and private sectors to improve national standards in vehicle examination. He is also the 4th Vice President of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI), representing global efforts to combat vehicle crime and support practitioner development. 

The National Association of Stolen Vehicle Examiners (NASVE) is the UK’s professional body for Qualified Stolen Vehicle Examiners (QSVE) involved in the forensic examination and identification of suspected stolen vehicles.

NASVE supports practitioners across law enforcement, the private sector, and related agencies by promoting best practice, advancing professional standards, and encouraging the development and sharing of expertise in stolen vehicle identification.

The association’s objectives include improving national consistency in examination techniques, providing a recognised platform for qualified examiners, supporting training and development, and enhancing cross-sector collaboration in the fight against vehicle crime.
