CITS IS TO HOST BI ANNUAL CONFERENCE TITLED; NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE THE CHALLENGES FOR 2026
On the 6th November 2025, CITS will hold a conference at the impressive JCB world headquarters in Staffordshire. The conference, will see two events run throughout the day. One a specific industry event, and a second a police only training and briefing session.
As part of the morning session, the industry delegates will hear from industry experts discussing the challenges for 2026 and beyond, including the risks to critical national infrastructure. Aimed at all sizes of organisations operating within the various industry sectors from: construction and utility companies, manufacturers, insurers, Trade Associations and law enforcement, we attempt to highlight the biggest risks affecting your business and the impact that they could have to your profit and loss margins. This event will gather experts in their field to attempt to guide you away from those expensive unplanned pitfalls that often unexpectedly hit projects.
The second part of the day will see over 120 police officers attend a specialist briefing and training programme, delivered by both specialist police training officers and industry experts, including international police liaison officer, DS Chris Piggott, of NCATT and Police Liaison officers on behalf of the official CESAR Scheme and RAPID. A special briefing from DCC Nigel Harrison, NPCC Rural Crime lead, will also be given.
The event will teach officers about the current threats and risks associated to Construction and Agricultural machinery theft and highlight techniques to identify stolen machinery, rogue equipment movements, and common tricks used by criminal gangs who are targeting industry.
The day will also include a special award ceremony recognising those on the front line of law enforcement and some of the impressive work they have carried out over the last 12 months.
There will be an exhibition throughout the day of leading security experts, who will be showcasing their latest products and innovations.
