2025 CITS CONFERENCE: NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE - THE CHALLENGES FOR 2026
CITS (Combined Industries Theft Solutions) will be holding their conference at JCB’s World Headquarters in Staffordshire on the 6th of November, which will focus on the threats and challenges industry faces in 2026 and beyond.
The conference has been specifically tailored to help address the concerns of industry, and to educate the police. The industry’s event will begin in the morning for industry, while a ‘police-only’ training and briefing session will be held in the afternoon.
Industry delegates will hear from industry experts discussing risks to Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). This is aimed at all sizes of organisations operating within this sector; as well as those in their supply chain and support services. Due to CNI implications, organisations indirectly involved: manufacturers, insurers, Trade Associations and law enforcement should also have representatives attend - to learn of the biggest risks affecting businesses, and the impact non-implemented procedures could have on a profit and loss margin. This event will gather experts in their field to attempt to guide you away from those expensive unplanned pitfalls that often unexpectedly hit projects.
Other issues of theft and fraud, which is at epidemic levels by Organised Criminal Groups (OCGs), will also be addressed.
The ‘police-only’ event, will see over 120 police officers attend a specialist briefing and training programme.
A special briefing from DCC Nigel Harrison, NPCC Rural Crime lead, will also be given.
This part of the conference will have presentations given by both specialist police training officers and industry experts, including international police liaison officer, DS Chris Piggott, of NCATT, and Police Liaison officers on behalf of the official CESAR Scheme and RAPID.
The event will teach officers about the current threats and risks associated to construction and agricultural machinery, and will include highlighting techniques to identify stolen machinery, identify rogue equipment movements, and common tricks used by OCGs targeting industry.
The day will also include a special award ceremony recognising front line law enforcement officers, and the impressive work they have carried out over the last 12 months.
There will be an exhibition throughout the day of leading security experts, who will be showcasing their latest products and innovations.
Further information and registration for both events can be found at; CITS Conference 2025 the event is free to attend and also includes catering and JCB factory tours.
